Las Casitas del Colca is located in the spectacular Colca Canyon in southern Peru - 3 hours from Arequipa city and 15 minutes from the town of Chivay, Capital of the Colca Valley. The hotel is a 5 minute drive from the village of Yanque and one hour from the Condor Cross. From the hotel there are many viewpoints affording wonderful panoramas of the valley. The Colca property is a 24 hectare estate - bordered on each edge by a ravine overlooking the Colca Canyon. Over 10,000 feet deep - the Colca Canyon is twice the depth of the Grand Canyon in the United States. The area is so untouched many local traditions remain - making this an ideal location for retreats and a great destination for treks and tours of the valley. An unmissable highlight of any stay is to watch the magnificent condors soaring up the canyon walls on thermals rising in the mornings - a short distance from the hotel. The property strives to make as little impact as possible on its local environment and is largely self-sufficient with a small private ranch and three greenhouses, equipped with its own modern solar energy system. The hotel offers a Spa with mineral hot tub and four massage rooms, meeting room, library, steam room, sauna and outdoor swimming pool heated year-round. Las Casitas del Colca features 20 new Casitas: 19 with 120 square meters of space and one large Presidential Suite. All accommodations are all-inclusive with three meals per day included in the room rate.
